  • Only the registered version has the full features:
    • You can save files with long names (only 8+3 characters when not registered)
    • You can save complete MIDI files of your tunes (only the first line when not registered).
    • You can save your automatic chord settings from CyberBacker.
    • You can save changes made by the ABC or Transpose tools.
    • You can set up AbcMus to call up to five external programs (only one when not registered).
    • You can edit the way your lists, cheat sheets, etc should look.
    • You can mass import files (Songwright, BMW, BGP) (only one file at a time when not registered).
    • From the results of a music search across many files, you can open the files directly by double-clicking or pressing Enter.
    • You can save changed backing style definitions.
(If you have registered AbcMus version 1, all features available there will still work even before you have registered your upgrade to version 2).
  • If you have not registered, you cannot count on any support from me when you run into problems.
  • It will encourage me to make improvements to the program. See the wish list.
  • AbcMus is distributed as shareware, which means that you can download it for free and use it for a trial period. If you like the program, you pay for it. I distribute my program this way because it is easy both for you and me.
