An experimental cross from Soviet times, which has been hidden in gene banks for decades. An octaploid cross of Triticum turgidum subsp. carthlicum and Triticum timopheevii. They had obviously hoped for a high yield and good resistance to fungal diseases. After having tried growing it for one year I can only say that they seem to have failed in both respects. It was unusually hard hit by mildew, and the ears were thin with few grains.
